About this site

Newton Shores Touring Site is a small, quiet caravan and motorhome park on the Holderness coast at East Newton, roughly 2 miles from Aldbrough in East Yorkshire and only about 200 metres from the sea. The site grew out of a working farm and keeps a deliberately simple, get-away-from-it-all feel, surrounded by open farmland, big skies and a single dead-end lane with barely any passing traffic. There is a small grass touring pitch for five to seven tourers with electric hook-up, plus around 20 well-spaced seasonal bases in the next field, each ready for connection to utilities. This is a spot for caravans and motorhomes only: there are no communal toilets or showers, so tent camping is not possible and there is no clubhouse on site. Newton Shores suits nature lovers, birdwatchers and sea anglers who want space and calm rather than entertainment, with the beach a two-minute walk away and often near-empty. Hornsea is about 8 miles north and Withernsea roughly 12 miles south, with village shops, pubs and a chip shop in Aldbrough. The park runs a 12-month holiday licence, so phone ahead to check seasonal pitch availability and to book before you set off.
