Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 60 Opening Dates: Open All Year A seven acre site, with 60 pitches, for touring caravans and tents, set in an old orchard in the middle of gently rolling farmland. A place to quietly relax or use a centre to visit Lincoln, Newark, and Sherwood Forest and the haunts of Robin Hood. NEW FOR 2019 - ADULTS ONLY AREA FOR CAMPING AND CARAVANING- 18 YEARS+ The amenities block provides free hot showers, free hair dryers, wash basins, toilets. There is a laundry room with coin operated washing machines and tumble dryer, free spin dryer and free small freezer for cool-box ice blocks. There is a separate 'access room' designed to disability standards which is also available on request to parents with young children. Four mains fresh water taps are spaced around the park. Electric hook up points (10 amps) are available for all mixed-use pitches, and four are provided in the tent field (5 amps, bookable). There is a play-trail for children on the edge of the old orchard area, and if you go into the orchard there are all sorts of exciting things to discover, including a chance to discover some carved wooden animals. A small section of the park is reserved as a short dog walk with disposal bin. The chemical toilet disposal point is behind the amenities block. Glass and Paper/cardboard and Aluminium Can recycling bins are on site, in addition to the general rubbish bins. A range of food essentials is available from reception, including eggs, fresh milk, ice cream and sweets. We can exchange Calor Gas and Camping Gas bottles. There is an information hut with maps and pamphlets on local attractions and we are available to give advice and local knowledge. A WiFi password is available for a small charge. An area at the far end of the park has been left to grow naturally for many years, so now it is a lovely nature walk with flowers, birds and butterflies. We have a David Bellamy Silver conservation award.
