About this site

Perran Quay Holiday Park, which many directories still list as Perran Quay Touring Park, is a hilltop park at Hendra Croft between Newquay and Perranporth in Cornwall, combining touring and tent pitches with glamping pods, static caravans and lodges. Perranporth beach is 3.7 miles away, Crantock 4.3 miles, Holywell Bay 5.2 miles and Newquay town 4.7 miles, with Truro 9.3 miles inland; Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm (4.2 miles) and Newquay Zoo (4.5 miles) cover the rainy days. Tourers get fully serviced hardstandings with electric hook-up and water in and out in the Bella and Sassy fields, grass pitches with electric sit in F Field, and tents pitch up in G and T Fields, all of them dog friendly. The glamping pods sleep up to five but take no pets, and anyone after all-season entertainment should note the pub, takeaway and heated outdoor pool run seasonally, with the pub open around May half term and from late July to the end of August. Beyond the facilities list there are renovated shower blocks with a family bathroom, a shop, a launderette, a children's play area and Doodles and Pops, an on-site nursery and holiday club that few Cornish campsites can match. Pitches and pods are priced through Perran Quay's online booking system, so check dates and rates there before you travel.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Perran Quay?
Yes, dogs are welcome on all of Perran Quay's touring, grass and tent pitches, and the Kynance Lodge is the park's pet-friendly lodge option. Dogs are not allowed in the glamping pods, so book a pitch or a pet-friendly caravan or lodge if you are travelling with your dog.
What types of pitch does Perran Quay offer?
Perran Quay offers fully serviced hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up and water in and out in the Bella and Sassy fields, grass touring pitches with electric in F Field, and tent pitches with electric in G and T Fields. All pitch types include access to the renovated shower blocks and family bathroom.
Does Perran Quay have a swimming pool?
Yes, Perran Quay has a heated outdoor swimming pool that runs seasonally, and access is included for touring and camping guests. Because it is an outdoor pool it operates in the warmer months rather than year round, and there is a children's play area on site as well.
How far is Perran Quay from the beach?
Perranporth beach is 3.7 miles from Perran Quay, with Crantock at 4.3 miles, Holywell Bay at 5.2 miles and Newquay's Fistral Beach at 5.6 miles. The park sits on a hill between Newquay and Perranporth, so a run of north Cornwall's surfing beaches lies within 6 miles of your pitch.
Is there a bar or restaurant at Perran Quay?
Yes, Perran Quay has its own on-site pub with a takeaway, but it opens seasonally: around May half-term week and then from roughly the last week of July to the end of August. Outside those weeks, head to Perranporth or Newquay, both under 5 miles away, for food and drink.
Does Perran Quay have glamping?
Yes, Perran Quay offers glamping pods that sleep up to five people, fully insulated and double glazed with heating and entertainment systems, and the S-Pod version comes with a private hot tub. Pets are not allowed in the pods, and pod prices are quoted through the park's online booking system.
