About this site

Perran Springs Holiday Park is a family run touring park, campsite and glamping site at Goonhavern near Perranporth in Cornwall, with free coarse fishing for guests on three private stocked lakes (Mayfly, Dragonfly and Butterfly). The park sits in a sheltered countryside valley 2.5 miles from Perranporth Beach and 6 miles from Newquay, with the village pub, The New Inn, a level walk away in Goonhavern. There are 97 camping and touring pitches across five areas (Swift, Jay, Owl, Pheasant and Woodpecker): 61 grass pitches with 16 amp hook up, 20 grass pitches without electric and 16 hardstandings, plus two caravan holiday homes, two Super Eurotents and five log pods for couples and families. Perran Springs takes families and couples only, and units over 7.5 metres are not accepted, so larger outfits and groups should look elsewhere. Beyond the pitch list the fishing is the standout, free and exclusive to guests, alongside an on site tackle shop, a nature trail and pond, a play tower and free 24 hour hot showers that reviewers consistently describe as spotless. Up to three dogs are welcome in your own camping or touring unit, though not in the rented accommodation, and BBQs must stand on legs (open fires and firepits are not permitted). The 2026 season runs from 22 May to 5 September, with prices quoted through the booking system on the park's website.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Perran Springs Holiday Park?
Yes, up to three dogs or pets are welcome in your own tent, caravan or motorhome, kept on a short lead around the park. Dogs are not allowed in the caravan holiday homes, Eurotents or log pods, and they cannot be left unattended anywhere on the park.
Can I have a campfire at Perran Springs?
No, open fires, campfires, firepits and ground level BBQs are not permitted anywhere on the park. You are welcome to bring your own BBQ as long as it stands on legs raised off the grass, so the pitch does not get scorched during your cook up.
When is Perran Springs Holiday Park open in 2026?
The 2026 season runs from midday on Friday 22 May to 10am on Saturday 5 September. Camping and touring stays have a two night minimum, couples log pods need three nights, and caravan holiday homes, Eurotents and family log pods are booked by the week, Saturday to Saturday.
Do the pitches at Perran Springs have electric hook-up?
Yes, 77 of the 97 pitches have a 16 amp electric hook-up point, including all 16 hardstandings for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. The remaining 20 grass tent pitches are non electric, and units over 7.5 metres long (including attached awnings) cannot be accepted on the park.
How far is Perran Springs from the beach?
Perranporth Beach, a long sandy surf beach, is about 2.5 miles from the park, and Newquay is 6 miles away. Dog friendly beaches within a short drive include Holywell Bay, Crantock and Fistral, while Perranporth allows dogs on short leads between 9am and 5pm from July to September.
Is the fishing at Perran Springs really free?
Yes, fishing on the three stocked coarse lakes (Mayfly, Dragonfly and Butterfly) is free and exclusive to park guests. An on site tackle shop sells bait and tackle, and the park's fishing and lake conditions list the compulsory kit you need, so check them before you travel.
