About this site

Pipcott Fields is a small, family-run touring site in the village of West Down, three and a half miles south of Ilfracombe in North Devon. The site has around 15 pitches taking any mix of caravans, motorhomes and tents across 5.5 acres split into three fields, with the 2.5-acre main field holding the 16-amp electric hook-ups, showers and plentiful hot water. Pitch fees include site-wide WiFi across the main field and use of a wooden picnic table, and there is no extra charge for awnings or dogs. It suits campers who want space, quiet and easy village life over a busy holiday park, with the Crown Inn and community shop a short stroll away. Two further fields give room for dog walking, and dogs are welcome provided they stay under control. Woolacombe beach is five miles off and Croyde six and a half, with the Tarka Trail joinable at Willingcott, two and a half miles away, and Exmoor National Park within easy reach. A frequent bus runs from half a mile away to Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Book ahead for peak weeks, as Pipcott Fields is compact and popular in this part of North Devon.
