Primrose Paddock

Primrose Paddock is a small, family-run touring campsite in the Mid Suffolk countryside at Athelington, a couple of miles outside the village of Stradbroke. The site sits about 5 miles from the little town of Eye and 6 miles from Framlingham, where Mary Tudor was proclaimed Queen of England at the castle, while Diss and its London mainline station are roughly 8 miles north. Pitches take tents, caravans and motorhomes, electric hook-ups are available, and there is a play area on site. Campfires are allowed, so evenings at Athelington belong to woodsmoke rather than passing traffic. Be clear about what this is: a handful of pitches in deep countryside, with no bar, no shop and no entertainment programme, so you will drive to Eye or Diss for a supermarket and the nearest sizeable choice of pubs. Primrose Paddock does not stay open through the winter.
