This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents. Pitches: 5 + 10 Tents Opening Dates: 01/03 To 31/10 Welcome to our peaceful Camping & Caravan Park nestling on the edge of the North York Moor.The only campsite actually in the famously beautiful chocolate box village of Thornton Le Dale,which is also the gateway to Dalby Forest.We pride ourselves on been family friendly and want you to enjoy your holiday within this peaceful small holding.Enjoy the many walks around Thornton Le Dale with the beautiful views of the surrounding hills .A dog walk into the adjacent woods is minutes away from the campsite.Dalby forest is only a short distance away which offers many family friendly activities, has world class mountain biking trails., and hosts open air music concerts. Take time to walk around the village or take one of the many local walks along the beck-side, by the village green, lake and woods. For the children there is a a large playground complete with 5-a-side/basketball area and skate/bike park. In the evening wander into the village and unwind in one of our two local pubs in the village.Alternatively stay on site and relax under the stars. take a look round Mathewsons vintage car showroom ( The Home of Bangers & Cash ) The campsite is a two minute walk to the heart of the village and its bustling centre which features a butcher, bakeries, newsagent, gift shops, jewellers, chocolatiers, vintage motor museum and sales, two pubs/restaurants, fish and chip shop and cafe, bistro, two cafes, post office, off-licence, chemist, ladies' wear, and antiques shop. On site secure dog walking area please call for awnings, twin axles or units>24'. Two nights minimum June - August weekends Three nights minimum - Bank Holiday weekend.
