Why campers love it here
About this site
Putsborough Sands Caravan Site is a beachside touring caravan park at the southern end of the three-mile stretch of sand that runs up to Woolacombe. It sits at Putsborough, Georgeham, near Braunton in north Devon, with Putsborough Sands right on the doorstep, a beach voted best in the UK in 2015 and 2016. The operator runs two touring caravan sites, the larger one beside the beach and a quieter second site slightly inland at Manor Farm. Be clear on one thing before you book: these are touring caravan parks only and do not take tents. Motorhomes and campervans are catered for separately, staying overnight on the hardstanding area at the top of the beach car park on a first-come basis, with no pre-booking, no electric hook-up and no hot showers, though you can use the toilet block, drinking water and elsan point. Tent campers are pointed to neighbouring Combas Farm instead. With a beach shop, café and award-winning toilets, Putsborough suits families and surfers who want to roll straight onto the sand near Braunton each morning. Book your touring caravan pitch ahead, and remember the motorhome spaces cannot be reserved.
