Why campers love it here
About this site
R S H Southedge Works is a small Certificated Site under the Camping and Caravanning Club, tucked beside a working yard at Hipperholme, around two miles from Halifax in West Yorkshire. As a Certificated Site it takes no more than five caravans or motorhomes, so it stays quiet and uncrowded, and it is aimed at self-contained touring units rather than tents. Pitches are hardstanding with electric hook up, there are toilets on site but no showers, and dogs are welcome. The handy draw here is the setting: the site sits next to the Halifax Steam Brewing Company micro brewery and its pub, which puts on live music once a month, and the M62 is close by for anyone passing through. Halifax town centre and the restored Piece Hall are a short drive away, Shibden Hall (a Gentleman Jack filming location) is nearby, and Haworth and Bronte country sit a few miles west. Reviewers regularly praise the friendly owners and the easy access. The site is open all year. Pitch fees are paid to the owner and are not published online, so book and check current prices for R S H Southedge Works through the Camping and Caravanning Club.
