Why campers love it here
About this site
Red House Farm is a family-run campsite on a working farm in Earnley, just south of Chichester in West Sussex. The four-acre site sits inland of the coast, with the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering under three miles away and the RSPB's Medmerry nature reserve a mile from the gate. Chichester itself is seven miles up the road, and Goodwood's racecourse and motor circuit are eight miles further, handy for Festival of Speed weekends. Red House Farm offers 10 hardstanding electric pitches, 18 electric grass pitches and 20 non-electric grass pitches, plus four insulated glamping pods sleeping two or four. It suits families and couples happy with a quiet, no-frills field: the site does not take groups, stag or hen parties, or anyone under 18 without an adult, and open ground campfires are banned (raised barbecues and firepits are fine instead). What stands out is the working farm setting itself, sheltered from the wind but open to big Sussex skies, and a regular bus service 400 yards from the site running into East and West Wittering and Chichester. Glamping pods run Easter to October, and pitches are bookable direct from £30 a night.
