About this site

Riddings Wood Caravan and Camping Park is a family friendly touring and camping park set in 11 acres of woodland near Riddings, just outside Alfreton in Derbyshire. This is the quieter, eastern side of the county rather than the Peak District, which makes it a handy, easy to reach base for exploring the Amber Valley. The park has hardstanding and grass touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes with electric hook up, plus a lower field of tent pitches, with and without hook up, that takes everything from pop ups to large family tents. Free WiFi reaches across the park, there is a children's play area, and the refurbished shower block includes accessible and baby changing facilities. Entry is controlled by security barriers with CCTV, and the site can take caravan rallies by arrangement. If you fancy a roof over your head, six luxury lodges each come with private hot tub use. Woodland walks lead straight from Riddings Wood, and reception has a tourist information point for planning days out around Alfreton. The park is open from 1 March to 31 December, and you can book online or by phone through the park's own booking system.

Yes, there is plenty of choice: hardstanding and grass touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes with electric hook up, plus a lower camping field with both hook up and non electric tent pitches suitable for everything from small pop ups to large family tents.
Are there lodges to rent as well as pitches?
Yes, alongside the touring and camping pitches there are six luxury holiday lodges. Each one comes with private use of a hot tub, so they suit couples or families who want a short break with a roof over their head rather than camping.
