Why campers love it here
About this site
A heated indoor swimming pool is the headline attraction at Ripley Caravan Park, a family-owned touring and holiday home park beside the village of Ripley, three miles north of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The park is for caravans, motorhomes and campervans only: there are no tent pitches and gazebos are not accepted, so canvas campers need to look elsewhere. Those who do come get a level, spacious site with generous hardstanding, narrow hardstanding and grass pitches, every one with 10 amp electric, water and drainage laid on. Prices start from £28 a night in low season for two people including electric, with dogs charged £1 a night (maximum two, kept on short leads). Beyond the pool there is a games room with pool tables and table tennis, an adventure playground, a football and volleyball field, a laundry and a shop, and regular guests praise how clean the wardens keep it all, though it does fill up at bank holidays. Ripley Castle and the village tearooms are a stroll away, with Harrogate, Knaresborough, Fountains Abbey and Nidderdale all within an easy drive, plus a nearby bus stop for car-free days out. Ripley Caravan Park's 2026 season runs from 7 March to 1 November, with online booking and a two night minimum stay at weekends.
