About this site

Traditional seaside camping is the whole point of Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site, a club owned touring campsite off Burniston Road on the northern edge of Scarborough, a short clifftop walk from North Bay. The site lies just over 2 miles from Scarborough town centre with a bus stop directly outside, the Cleveland Way running up the coast close by, the Cinder Track cycle route towards Whitby nearby and the North York Moors National Park a short drive inland. Pitches cover grass with or without electric, hardstandings with hook up and jumbo pitches for units over 5m by 9m; tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome, but there are no glamping units, the hardstandings are grass covered reinforced plastic and a 25m hook up lead is advised. You do not need to be a Club member to stay, though members pay lower rates. Families and dog owners do well here, with a play park, a football field, a dog exercise field, a family shower room, an on site shop and the Scalby Manor pub next door, plus backpacker facilities and a motorhome service point. Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site is open from 27 March to 26 October 2026, with pitches from £12.20 a night at the members' adult rate.

The site opens from 27 March to 26 October in 2026, with 2027 dates already published as 22 March to 25 October. Check in is from 1pm and check out is by midday. It is a seasonal site, so winter touring needs to happen somewhere else.
Do you have to be a Club member to stay at Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site?
No, non members can book and stay. Camping and Caravanning Club members pay discounted rates, saving 30 percent on Club Site pitch fees, and get priority booking up to a year ahead. The advertised from price of £12.20 a night is the members' adult rate, so non members pay more.
Are dogs allowed at Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site?
Yes, pets are welcome. The site has a designated dog walk and a separate exercise field for dogs, and the Cleveland Way clifftop path close by gives you miles of coastal walking. The neighbouring Scalby Manor pub is reached directly from the site too.
How far is Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site from the beach and town?
The site sits off Burniston Road on the northern edge of Scarborough, just over 2 miles from the town centre, with a short clifftop walk down towards North Bay. A bus stop directly outside the entrance runs you into Scarborough or up the coast towards Whitby.
What pitch types does Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site offer?
There are grass pitches with and without electric hook-up, hardstanding pitches with hook-up and jumbo grass pitches for units bigger than 5m by 9m. The hardstandings are grass covered reinforced plastic, some grass pitches slope, and the Club advises bringing a 25m hook-up lead.
