About this site

Skirlington Leisure Park is a large coastal holiday park on the Holderness coast at Low Skirlington, near Skipsea in East Yorkshire, built mainly around static holiday homes and lodges. The park sits right by the sea, with open views across countryside and the beach a short walk away, roughly 6 miles north of Hornsea and about 8 miles south of Bridlington. Alongside its permanent holiday homes, Skirlington keeps a large number of dedicated pitches for touring caravans, plus 20 rental caravans, so tourers are welcome even though this is not a tents-and-fields campsite. Seasonal touring pitches come with water and metered electric hook-up, and the season runs from March to October. What stands out here is the scale of the on-site facilities: an indoor pool, a clubhouse and bar, a regular Sunday market, and a David Bellamy Gold Award for the way the park looks after its surrounding wildlife habitat. Families are the core crowd, and there is a play area for children. If you want a quiet back-to-nature field with campfires, this busy leisure park will not suit, but for a full-facility coastal base near Skipsea it is a proper all-rounder. Book touring pitches through the park's own booking system, and check current availability directly before you travel.

Staff very welcoming. Good size pitches. Poor TV and WiFi on our pitch (15). The site has had some major improvements since our last visit. Modern clubhouse with good restaurant. Lido planned for summer 2026. The toilet / shower block whilst clean is very dated. It’s a shame this wasn’t refurbished with all the other new changes.
