About this site

Slindon Camping and Caravanning Club Site sits in an old orchard on the edge of Slindon Forest, inside the South Downs National Park near Arundel, West Sussex. The Club owns and runs this simple 40-pitch site, tucked against National Trust bluebell woods with open views across the West Sussex coastal plain. Pitches are grass only, some with electric hook-up, and the approach through Slindon village is tight, so touring units need a careful drive in. There are no toilets or showers at Slindon, just a water tap and chemical waste point, so you need your own facilities in the caravan or motorhome: that rules it out for tent campers without their own loo. What it does offer is quiet, proper walking country: 25 miles of public right of way straight from the gate, ten geocaches to find, and Slindon village a short stroll away with a pub, The Spur, and The Forge community shop and cafe. Arundel, with its castle and wildfowl trust, is a short drive east, and the beaches at Littlehampton, Bognor Regis and West Wittering are all within reach for a day out. Dogs are welcome on a lead, with a designated dog walk nearby. Members camp from £5.30 a night, and non-members can join on arrival.
