Why campers love it here
About this site
Slinfold Caravan and Motorhome Club Site occupies the end of a country lane at the edge of Slinfold village, near Horsham in West Sussex, on the site of a former railway station closed in 1965, with the reception still displaying photos of that history. You can pick up the Downs Link cycle route right from the site, a converted railway line running towards the North Downs, and the dog-friendly Red Lyon pub is a fifteen minute walk away, alongside a village shop in Slinfold itself. The Slinfold Club Site takes caravans and motorhomes only, with electric hook-up, a motorhome service point and drive-over waste disposal, but there is no toilet block, so you need to be self-contained. That, plus some noise from a nearby factory, means it suits touring caravanners and motorhomers more than campers wanting full facilities or total silence. Dogs are welcome and walking routes lead straight from the gate. Horsham, Guildford and Dorking are all within a manageable drive, and Slinfold's rose-covered cottages and village fetes give this corner of West Sussex a genuinely rural, slow-paced character rather than a stopover feel. Booking runs through the Caravan and Motorhome Club's own site, with the nearest train station at Horsham.
