Visit the house and explore its 450 acres of parkland. The ruins of Rievaulx Abbey are very peaceful and worth a visit. Nunnington Hall - a 17th century manor house - is on the banks of the River Rye. It is home to the Carlisle collection of miniature houses. There are two lavender farms in the area.
