Why campers love it here
About this site
Smytham Manor is a family-run holiday park set in 23 acres of parkland at Little Torrington, near Great Torrington in North Devon, with its own private access onto the Tarka Trail. The park adjoins the old manor house, still used as a family home, and keeps a low-density, spacious feel across open parkland and mature grounds. You can stay in a range of ways here: traditional tent camping and caravanning, camping pods for a bit more comfort, or self-catering timber lodges, which makes it flexible for campers, tourers and glampers alike. The setting is the main draw, with the Tarka Trail cycling and walking route on the doorstep and North Devon's coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor all within reach for days out. On-park there are activities and facilities for children and open space to roam, so it suits families and couples after a relaxed countryside base rather than a big entertainment resort. Little Torrington puts you close to Great Torrington, RHS Garden Rosemoor and attractions such as The Big Sheep, with the beaches around Bideford and Westward Ho! a short drive on. The season runs from spring to autumn, and pitches and lodges are booked through Smytham Manor's own website.
