South Cliff Caravan Park

Set metres from Bridlington South Beach, South Cliff Caravan Park is a large four-star touring and holiday park at Wilsthorpe on the East Yorkshire coast with around 185 pitches. This is a proper all-rounder rather than a quiet field: you can pitch a tent, bring a touring caravan or motorhome, try a shepherd hut, or hire a lodge with its own hot tub. Touring pitches come in five styles, from grass and gravel to super hard standing, and the toilet and shower blocks are rated five-star. The sandy South Beach is a few minutes' walk, and Bridlington's harbour, shops and amusements are a short stroll further on. Run by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the park keeps things tidy and family-friendly, with a playground on site and dogs welcome on the touring pitches (up to two per pitch). Golf, sea fishing, watersports and horse riding are all close by along this stretch of coast. South Cliff stays open all year, which makes it handy for off-season coastal breaks as well as summer holidays. Touring pitches start from £20 a night, camping from £29, and glamping in a shepherd hut from £155, all bookable through the park's own booking system.
