South Lea Caravan Park

Pitches: 60 Opening Dates: March To October South Lea Caravan Park is situated on the outskirts the market town of Pocklington. The Park is set in 14 acres of flat grassland with the main area separated by borders of shrubs and trees. The site has a modern shower/toilet facility which is kept spotlessly clean. We now have some touring plots with there own water point The bus stop directly outside gives access to York,Beverley,Hull and Bridlington. Pocklington sits in the foothills of the Wolds and is close to York with its many attractions, the Moors of North Yorkshire and the East Coast resorts of Filey and Bridlington are also nearby. This delightful market town holds a street market every Tuesday and also has a good selection of shops and supermarkets. The town enjoys a variety of good restaurants including Indian, Chinese, Italian and of course English. Some of the local attractions include: Burnby Hall Gardens which has EuropeÁ_s largest water lily collection in two acres of lakes. In the town centre is Oak House Arts Centre with an excellent year-round programme of exhibitions and performances. Also available in the town is a comprehensive leisure centre. Pocklington also has its own airfield for gliders where it is possible to take lessons or enjoy a pleasure flight.
