Stroxworthy Farm Campsite

Stroxworthy Farm Campsite is a small, quiet adults-only site on a working family dairy farm at Woolsery, near Bideford in North Devon. The ten-pitch site runs along the top of two sheltered fields, with five fully serviced pitches, four of them hardstanding, and hook-ups available for tents too. Every pitch is flat and south facing, ringed by tall Devon hedges that give shelter in most weathers, and the views stretch across rolling countryside as far as Dartmoor around twenty-five miles away. With no light pollution nearby, the night sky is a real feature. As an adults-only (18+) site it does not suit families with children, but it is a genuinely peaceful spot for couples and older campers. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead on site. Facilities are simple and well kept, with a shower room, two toilets and a washing-up area. Woolsery village, just over a mile away, has a well-stocked shop and the Farmers Arms pub, while Bideford, Clovelly and the coast are within a short drive.
