About this site

St Ives Bay Beach Resort, formerly St Ives Bay Holiday Park, is a 120-acre Away Resorts park set in the sand dunes at Upton Towans, Hayle, with direct access to 3 miles of sandy beach on St Ives Bay. Camping here means pitching among the towans: over 100 grass touring and camping pitches, standard or electric, each 5m by 8m and sleeping up to six people, alongside static caravans, lodges and chalets, some with hot tubs. The path through the dunes to the beach is the park's trump card, though it's soft sand, so not one for buggies or wheelchairs. Facilities are full-on beach resort: a seasonal indoor pool with a children's paddle pool, the Dynamite Bar with nightly entertainment in season, the Sands Bistro with sea views, an on-site surf school, a shop, arcade, crazy golf and an adventure playground. Since Away Resorts took over in 2021 the park has become pet friendly, with up to two dogs per booking, welcome in the bistro but not the bar (a change from the old no-dogs policy, so ignore any older advice). Touring and camping run from late March to 1 November, with prices quoted live through the Away Resorts booking system. Come for a lively seaside week rather than a quiet pitch, with the beach doing the heavy lifting and St Ives glittering across the bay.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at St Ives Bay Beach Resort?
Yes, up to two dogs per booking are welcome since Away Resorts took over the park. Dogs can join you in the Sands Bistro but not the Dynamite Bar; the old no-pets policy belonged to the previous operator.
Does St Ives Bay Beach Resort have direct beach access?
Yes, the park sits in the dunes with its own path onto 3 miles of St Ives Bay sand, lifeguarded from May to August. The dune path is soft sand, so it isn't suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
When can you camp at St Ives Bay Beach Resort?
Touring and camping run from late March to 1 November, with the pool, bar and shop opening from 27 March in 2026. The park itself operates year round for holiday home owners.
What types of pitch does St Ives Bay Beach Resort offer?
There are over 100 grass touring and camping pitches, available as standard or electric, each 5m by 8m and taking up to six people with one unit per pitch. Static caravans, lodges and chalets are available to hire too.
Does St Ives Bay Beach Resort have a swimming pool?
Yes, there's a seasonal indoor pool with a children's paddle pool. The park also has an on-site surf school if you'd rather learn in the Atlantic.
Is St Ives Bay Holiday Park still called that?
No, the park now trades as St Ives Bay Beach Resort after Away Resorts bought it in 2021. It's the same 120-acre dune site at Upton Towans with the same direct beach access.
