Pitches: 140 Opening Dates: Open All Year Sumners Ponds Campsite is set in beautiful, tranquil, West Sussex countryside, some 10 minutes drive from the town of Horsham and 30 minutes from the coast. The campsite boasts brand new facilities, acres of woodland, a working farm, fishing lakes, and an idyllic location on the fringe of Barns Green village which has the benefit of a pub, recreation grounds, miles of public footpath, post office and shop. West Sussex is an ideal touring base with a huge network of footpaths and cycleways and with many beautiful towns and villages. Access to the nearby south downs and the coast is easy, while Brighton is half an hour by car and London only one hour by train or car. Whether backpacking, cycling or touring by car, we offer great facilities including a fully licensed restaurant and bar, four coarse fishing lakes, onsite camping and tackle shop and modern amenity blocks. Our location makes Sumners Ponds a perfect touring base with countless places to see, from castles to villages, beaches, watersports and countless outdoor pursuits, all within easy reach. We have 90 touring pitches (a mixture of grass and hard standing) all with electric hook-up. We have a non-electric tent field (The Rally Field) with 50 pitches for use at weekends.
