About this site

Sumners Ponds Fishery and Campsite is a 100 acre working farm, fishery and campsite at Barns Green near Horsham in West Sussex, about an hour from London and thirty minutes from Brighton. Camping splits across four areas: Ribbon Park and Sumners Park both have electric hook-up and lakeside pitches for anglers, the Rally Field is a back-to-basics non-electric field with big 10 metre pitches, and the Family Field is a private-hire area with its own shower block and fire pit. Beyond tents and touring pitches, Sumners Ponds also has safari tents, shepherd's huts, camping pods and lakeside lodges, so it covers everyone from serious anglers wanting a lakeside spot to families after a glamping weekend. It is less suited to campers wanting total peace and quiet in high season, since the site is large, popular and gets busy around the cafe and match lake on warm weekends. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead throughout the campsite, and there are two secure dog exercise paddocks for hire away from the main pitches. What stands out is the working farm setting, with home-reared meat sold at reception for your own barbecue. Sumners Ponds is open all year, with standard pitches from £21 a night plus a per-person charge.
