Why campers love it here
About this site
Sunny Lyn Holiday Park is a riverside site in a wooded Exmoor valley, with the West Lyn River running right alongside, and it is the closest campsite to both Lynton and Lynmouth in North Devon. The two towns are under a mile away, roughly a 12-minute walk downhill, which makes this handy for anyone who wants Exmoor's coast without needing the car every day. The camping side is deliberately small and quiet: nine electric touring pitches, five electric tent pitches and five non-electric tent pitches, backed by newly refurbished shower and toilet facilities, a wash-up area and a laundry. Alongside camping there are static caravans, apartments and self-catering lodges, some with hot tubs and open all year. Guests fish the river for brown trout free of charge, and dogs are welcome across the campsite and most of the accommodation. With only around 19 pitches it suits couples, walkers and small families rather than large groups after entertainment. The South West Coast Path, Tarka Trail and Coleridge Way all meet in the towns, and an on-site breakfast cafe runs at weekends through the season. Sunny Lyn Holiday Park sits within Exmoor National Park, with Lynmouth harbour, the Victorian Cliff Railway and Watersmeet all close by. Camping generally runs late March to the end of October.
