Why campers love it here
About this site
Sunny Meadows Tourist Park is a quiet, family-run touring park at Goonhavern, 2 miles from Perranporth and 6 miles from Newquay on the coast road. The park keeps things simple and spacious: 65 electric hook-up pitches spread over 5 acres of grassy meadow, plus non-electric pitches and a handful of static caravans for hire, with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Dog owners do particularly well here, with 10 acres of walking fields set aside purely for stretching four legs, and up to two dogs per pitch stay free. Facilities cover the essentials done properly: two toilet and shower blocks with showers included in the price, a separate accessible bathroom, a laundry, two washing-up areas, a children's play area and a family room with a pool table, table football and TV. It's deliberately not a party park; the barrier closes at 10.30pm and there's no bar or clubhouse, which is exactly why its regulars keep coming back. Perranporth's long sandy beach and surf schools are 5 minutes away by car, and Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is just up the road at Penhallow. Open from 1 April to 30 October, with electric pitches from £30 a night including two people.
