Why campers love it here
About this site
Sunridge Retreats, previously listed as Sunridge Glamping, is a luxury glamping site in the Yealm Valley at Worston near Yealmpton in the South Hams of South Devon. Set across four acres of private, tree studded countryside around a wildlife and carp lake, it offers five distinctive stays rather than pitches you bring your own tent to, so this is glamping in fitted comfort rather than traditional camping. The choices are a ten metre geodome, a converted barn lodge, two contemporary cubes, a cedar clad ecopod and a raised woodland treehouse, and every one has its own private hot tub. Interiors run to proper kitchens, showers, heating and cinema screens, which places it firmly at the boutique, couples and small family end of glamping. The location works well for exploring, with Dartmoor National Park, the Salcombe coast and the wide sands of Bigbury on Sea and Mothecombe all a short drive away, plus village pubs like the Rose and Crown at Yealmpton close by. Dogs are welcome in most of the units, though the treehouse is kept pet free, and optional catch and release carp fishing is available beside the lodge and geodome. Sunridge Retreats is open all year, with live pricing and availability shown for each retreat and booking made directly through the site.
