Why campers love it here
About this site
Swanage Coastal Park is a holiday caravan and lodge park set on a hillside above Swanage in Dorset, with sea views across Swanage Bay and the Purbeck Hills. The park sits on the Jurassic Coast in Purbeck, and the town centre is a short walk downhill for shops, cafes and the beach. Most stays here are in static caravans and lodges for hire, including two and three bedroom caravans that sleep up to six, and some lodges come with a private hot tub. For the summer holidays only, an informal grass field called Coastal Heights opens for tents, from 17 July to 6 September 2026, with no electric hook-up. Touring caravans and motorhomes are not accepted at any time, so this is not a touring park. It is pet friendly and has a children's play area, though there are no bars, restaurant or shop on site and the hillside layout means some steep paths, so it suits guests who are happy walking into Swanage for food and drink. Caravans and lodges book year round through the Shorefield booking system, and summer camping pitches at Swanage Coastal Park start from £26 a night on a minimum three night stay.
