About this site

The Bluebell Inn is an award-winning country pub with two small, members-based camping options attached, out in the flat Fenland countryside at Whaplode St. Catherine near Spalding. Being a pub first, the appeal is plain: you pitch up, then walk a few steps to the restaurant and the on-site Bluebell Brewery for ales brewed on the premises. Camping here comes in two forms. The Bluebell Field is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location with five fully serviced hardstanding pitches, each with a 16-amp hook-up, tap, TV aerial socket and free Wi-Fi, open to Club members only at £22 a night. The second option is a motorhome-only Nightstop in the pub car park, affiliated with the Motor Caravanners' Club, taking up to five vans at £6 a night, with a couple of 10-amp hook-ups at £4 each. This is not a tent site and not one for families chasing a playground: it suits self-contained caravanners and motorhomers who want a quiet, well-kept overnight stop with a proper pint at the end of it. Toilet and shower facilities are inside the pub, and there is a chemical disposal point, water and a motorhome service area on site. Both sites at The Bluebell Inn stay open all year, and you book pitches direct by phone. Spalding and Holbeach are each a short drive away in this quiet corner of Lincolnshire.

Do you need to be a Caravan and Motorhome Club member?

The separate motorhome Nightstop in the pub car park is affiliated with the Motor Caravanners' Club and Practical Motorhome, and both sites are booked directly with the pub.
How much does it cost to stay at The Bluebell Inn?
The Bluebell Field Certificated Location is currently £22 a night for a fully serviced hardstanding pitch. The motorhome Nightstop in the car park is £6 a night per motorhome, with two 10-amp electric hook-ups available at £4 each. You book both by phoning 01406 540300.
Is there a pub and food on site?

Is The Bluebell Inn campsite open all year?
Yes, both the Bluebell Field Certificated Location and the motorhome Nightstop are open all year and run 24/7, even though the pub itself is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Toilet and shower facilities in the pub stay accessible out of hours via a coded key safe.
Are dogs allowed at The Bluebell Inn?
Yes, dogs are welcome at this dog-friendly country pub and its small camping pitches. The site sits in open, flat Fenland near Spalding with quiet lanes for walks. As pitch numbers are limited and it is a members' site, contact the pub when booking to confirm arrangements for your dog.
