The Croft Campsite

Pitches: 45 Opening Dates: 30th March To 28th October 'The Croft' is an ideal Campsite, with our wet weather facilities and underfloor heating in our shower block. We opened in 2016 and are a small family run campsite situated in a village called Ubbeston, near to the market towns of Framlingham and Halesworth. We welcome tents, motorhomes/campervans and caravans. We also welcome children, teens and dogs (as long as they are kept on the lead - the latter not the former!). On arrival you can help yourself to a cup of tea, coffee or squash in order for you to recover from your journey before setting up camp. We have 'The Barn' equipped with table tennis tables, table football and ride on toys etc. There is 'The Cart Lodge' with picnic tables, so if it rains you can still have dinner in style. Our pitch sizes are spacious - 11 metres plus. There is also a designated field where you can play football, fly kites, frisbee etc. We also have a dog paddock where your four legged companions can be let off the lead. If you would like to try out camping or don't want the hassle of setting up and putting your tent away, why not rent out one of our pre-erected tents. The Canvas Cottage has two double raised off the floor beds and the Canvas Caban has two double mattresses on wooden futon bases so both are very comfortable. Our toilet facilities are of a high quality and luxurious with underfloor heating. The hot adjustable showers appears to be appreciated. In the washing up room there are 3 commercial sinks with double drainers - so plenty of space. We also have a washing machine and dryer. There is a lovely walk along the River Blyth (now just a stream) from Ubbeston to Laxfield. The delightful village of Laxfield is just a couple of miles away with its two pubs, co op shop, hardware store and museum. We are in the advantageous position of being only 30 minutes away from anywhere along the 'Suffolk Heritage Coast' and lovely river estuaries of the Blythe, Alde, Deben, Orwell and Stour whilst being able to enjoy the delights of the Suffolk countryside. All in all 'The Croft Campsite' is in an ideal position if you would like a fantastic and varied holiday. We aim to be friendly campsite owners - who are on hand if you need any help!
