The Lazy Buzzard Campsite

The Lazy Buzzard is a small five van campsite at Mullacott Cross, on the edge of Ilfracombe in north Devon. It takes tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans across just five pitches, so the atmosphere stays quiet and uncrowded. There are no electric hookups, though the site provides fresh water, a chemical and grey waste point, rubbish bins and a WC with a sink. Dogs are welcome. The setting puts you within reach of several north Devon beaches, with Ilfracombe harbour and the surf at Woolacombe and Croyde a short drive away, plus the South West Coast Path for walkers. The Lazy Buzzard Campsite normally opens from Easter through September, and may take visitors outside that window when the ground is dry. It suits self sufficient campers and van owners who are happy without mains power or a full shower block, rather than anyone needing extensive facilities.
