About this site

Set in the old walled kitchen gardens of the Thorpe Hall estate at Rudston, Thorpe Hall Caravan & Camping Site is a quiet, family-run touring and camping park on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, roughly five miles from Bridlington. The site keeps around 78 large grass pitches, most with 16 amp electric hook-up, plus a separate tent field, so caravans, motorhomes and tents each get their own space, and bell tent glamping is available if you would rather arrive to canvas already up. Thorpe Hall itself is a Grade II* house from the early 1700s and still a working estate, which gives the grounds their mature, walled-garden feel. On site you get a small shop for drinks, snacks, toiletries and Calor gas, a games field for children, and coarse fishing on the estate lakes, while the owners run guided nature walks through the year. Dogs are welcome and there is plenty of room to walk them. Rudston village sits less than a mile away and is home to the Rudston Monolith, the tallest standing stone in Britain, while Bridlington's sandy beaches are a short drive east. The site is open from 1 March to 31 October, and its calm setting suits families and couples exploring this corner of East Yorkshire over party crowds.
