About this site

Cleethorpes Beach, the Haven holiday park formerly known as Thorpe Park Holiday Centre, is a large family touring and camping park set near the mouth of the Humber at Humberston, just outside Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire. The touring area has 120 pitches taking everything from tents to motorhomes, and it sits about five minutes' walk from the main facilities, with a heated wash block, accessible showers and covered dishwashing areas. This is a resort-style park rather than a quiet field: on site you get a heated indoor pool with an outdoor space bowl flume and SplashZone, the Adventure Village activity area, a nine-hole golf course, freshwater fishing lakes, the Marina Bar and Stage entertainment venue, and food from Slim Chickens, Burger King, Cook's Fish and Chips and a new J D Wetherspoon pub. The sandy beach runs straight from the park towards Cleethorpes and the River Humber, with the town about two miles north and Grimsby roughly five miles away. Dogs are welcome on pitches, though continental tourers and gazebos are not permitted. Reviewers rate the location and the helpful touring wardens, while a few flag that some pitches can pool water after heavy rain, so ask about pitch choice. Touring pitches start from £10 a night, booked through Haven, and the park opens seasonally rather than all year, making it one of the busier family options on the Lincolnshire coast.

Good to know

Does Cleethorpes Beach have touring and camping pitches?
Yes, the park has 120 touring and camping pitches taking tents, caravans and motorhomes, about five minutes' walk from the main facilities. Continental tourers and gazebos or event shelters are not permitted, so check Haven's pitch rules before you book your stay.
Is this the same site as Thorpe Park Holiday Centre?
Yes, Haven has renamed the park Cleethorpes Beach, having formerly called it Thorpe Park Holiday Centre. It is the same site at Humberston near Cleethorpes (DN35 0PW), now with new venues including a J D Wetherspoon pub and the Marina Bar and Stage.
Are dogs allowed at Cleethorpes Beach?
Yes, dogs are welcome to share your pitch at £1 per dog per night, up to two dogs per pitch. There is a dog-friendly beach, on-park and off-park walking areas and the Bark Yard, Haven's dog obstacle course, so it works well for dog owners.
How much are touring pitches at Cleethorpes Beach?
Touring and camping pitches start from £10 for one night, booked through Haven's own system. Prices vary by date and season, and the touring park opens seasonally rather than all year, so check availability directly with Haven for the dates that you want.
Is there a beach and a swimming pool?
Yes, a sandy beach runs directly from the park towards Cleethorpes and the River Humber. On site there is a heated indoor pool plus a seasonal outdoor space bowl flume and SplashZone, along with a nine-hole golf course, fishing lakes and the Adventure Village.
What is there for families to do?
Plenty: the Adventure Village, climbing wall, NERF Training Camp, Aerial Adventure, crazy golf, kart hire and daily activities keep children busy, while the Marina Bar and Stage hosts evening entertainment. Dining runs from Burger King and Slim Chickens to a J D Wetherspoon pub.
