Why campers love it here
About this site
Tollerton Caravan Park sits on Station Road on the edge of Tollerton village, ten miles north of York, mixing static holiday homes with a proper touring and camping operation run by the family firm Green Wood Parks. The park has 25 grass and 25 hardstanding pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents, some with electric hook-up, available from 1 March to 31 October; it also sells and hires static caravans, so expect a settled holiday-park feel rather than a pure campsite. On site you get a small fishing lake, a large recreation field, a children's playground, a laundry and a shower block, with the Station Inn pub at the park entrance and a park manager living on site all year. York's Park and Ride is around ten minutes by car, Easingwold and Castle Howard are close, and the park sits between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors for day trips in either direction. One honest note: the East Coast Main Line runs nearby, so you will hear trains, though visitors consistently describe a quiet, immaculately kept park with friendly staff. Tollerton Caravan Park charges from £28 a night for a small tent without electric, and from £35 a night for tourers and large tents with hook-up.
