About this site

Tregurrian Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a 90-pitch touring and tent campsite on the north Cornwall coast, a short walk from the surf at Watergate Bay. The site sits in the hamlet of Tregurrian above the beach, with sea views from some pitches, Watergate Bay less than a mile downhill and the surfing town of Newquay 5 miles away; Padstow, Trerice (a National Trust Elizabethan manor) and Newquay Zoo all make easy day trips across Cornwall. The level pitches come as grass, grass with electric hook-up, hardstanding with hook-up and larger grass pitches for outfits over 5m by 9m, taking tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents. It suits surfers, coast path walkers and families who value the beach over on-site entertainment: there is no playground, bar or clubhouse, the coastal position catches the wind, and the path down to Watergate Bay is steep for buggies. The surf-ready details stand out, including a wetsuit shower, ice pack freezing, a small shop, laundry, a parent and baby room and a motorhome service point, and reviewers consistently rate the facilities as spotless. Dogs are welcome, and Watergate Bay allows dogs all year. Tregurrian is open from 27 March to 26 October 2026, non-members can book, and 2026 member prices start from £11.30 per adult a night.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Tregurrian Club Site?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Tregurrian Camping and Caravanning Club Site. Watergate Bay, less than a mile from the site, allows dogs on the beach all year round, which makes this one of the easier north Cornwall bases for a camping trip with the dog in tow.
Do I need to be a Camping and Caravanning Club member to stay at Tregurrian?
No, non-members can book and stay at Tregurrian. The Club states you do not need to be a member, although members pay lower pitch fees and save up to 30 percent on Club Site stays, so membership pays its way on longer trips.
Does Tregurrian have electric hook-up pitches?
Yes, the site offers grass pitches with electric hook-up, hardstandings with hook-up and larger hook-up pitches for outfits over 5m by 9m, alongside grass pitches with no electric. All 90 pitches are level and take tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents.
When is Tregurrian Club Site open in 2026?
The site is open from 27 March to 26 October 2026 and closes over winter. Members can book up to a year in advance, check-in is from 1pm with check-out by 12 noon, and peak school holiday weeks near Watergate Bay book up early.
How far is the beach from Tregurrian campsite?
Watergate Bay is less than a mile from the site on foot. The final path down to the sand is steep, so allow extra time with buggies or limited mobility, and Newquay with its other beaches, including Fistral, is about 5 miles away by road.
How much does Tregurrian Club Site cost per night?
Member prices start from £11.30 per adult a night in 2026, with pitch and hook-up charges added through the Club booking system. Non-members pay a higher nightly rate, and a deposit of £25 or 25 percent of the booking cost is taken when you book.
