Why campers love it here
About this site
Tregurrian Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a 90-pitch touring and tent campsite on the north Cornwall coast, a short walk from the surf at Watergate Bay. The site sits in the hamlet of Tregurrian above the beach, with sea views from some pitches, Watergate Bay less than a mile downhill and the surfing town of Newquay 5 miles away; Padstow, Trerice (a National Trust Elizabethan manor) and Newquay Zoo all make easy day trips across Cornwall. The level pitches come as grass, grass with electric hook-up, hardstanding with hook-up and larger grass pitches for outfits over 5m by 9m, taking tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents. It suits surfers, coast path walkers and families who value the beach over on-site entertainment: there is no playground, bar or clubhouse, the coastal position catches the wind, and the path down to Watergate Bay is steep for buggies. The surf-ready details stand out, including a wetsuit shower, ice pack freezing, a small shop, laundry, a parent and baby room and a motorhome service point, and reviewers consistently rate the facilities as spotless. Dogs are welcome, and Watergate Bay allows dogs all year. Tregurrian is open from 27 March to 26 October 2026, non-members can book, and 2026 member prices start from £11.30 per adult a night.
