Hartington Hills

Hartington Hills is a camping, glamping and touring site within the Peak District National Park, close to the picture postcard village of Hartington. You may know it as Upper Hurst Farm: after a barn fire in 2024 the mum and daughter team behind it rebuilt and rebranded, and it now trades as Hartington Hills with a 5 star rating from Visit England. The setting is the real draw, a very rural spot with close to 360 degree views where peace and quiet are almost guaranteed, yet it is central to the market towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne and Leek. There are roomy super pitches and standard camping pitches, an underfloor heated shower and toilet block, and a large accessible wet room suitable for families with young children. If you fancy something special there is a glamping yurt and a holiday cottage, each with its own private wood fired hot tub. Dogs are very welcome, with mown paths through a 4.5 acre field for walking them, and there is a big mown area where children can play well away from the road. Barbecues are allowed and fire pits can be hired. The River Dove and the Manifold Cycle Trail are both about a mile away. The site is open all year and booked through its own system.
