About this site

Watergate Bay Touring Park is a family-run touring park half a mile above Watergate Bay on the north Cornwall coast, welcoming caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents since 1975. The beach below is the main event: 2 miles of lifeguarded sand at low tide and one of Cornwall's best-known surf spots, with Newquay 4 miles down the coast road. Fair warning, the walk down is steeper than it looks, and the old beach shuttle no longer runs. Pitches range from simple non-electric grass to 16-amp super and premium hardstandings with private water and drainage, plus six camping pods and two six-berth static caravans. Families are well looked after here, with an indoor heated pool, tennis court, mini skate park, games room and The Cribbar bar, which puts on nightly entertainment through the main holiday weeks. Dogs are welcome on touring pitches and selected pods, maximum two, pre-booked at £4.50 a night. The park holds AA 5 Pennant and VisitEngland 5-star ratings. The 2026 season runs from late March to the end of October, with touring pitches from £19.60 a night; electric is now metered pay-as-you-go rather than included, and electric pitches need a five-night minimum stay in the school summer holidays.
