About this site

Wayfarers Park is an adults only caravan and camping park at St Hilary near Penzance, a small, sheltered site in west Cornwall run strictly for over 18s with no children and no pets. The park sits on Relubbus Lane between Penzance and Hayle: the beach at Perranuthnoe is about 2 miles away, Praa Sands about 2.5 miles, and Marazion with St Michael's Mount roughly 3 miles, while Penzance itself is around 6 miles west. Hardstanding pitches take caravans and motorhomes up to 7.5 metres, with electric hook up on smart meters, fresh water, grey waste disposal and room for an awning, and grass pitches in the lower field take tents up to 7 metres by 4 metres with a maximum of two guests per pitch. Two bedroom Maple holiday homes sleeping three are available too. The park suits couples wanting a genuinely quiet base for west Cornwall; it does not suit families, groups or anyone travelling with a dog. Wayfarers' own Flying Duck Bistro cooks dinner to order on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch, and guests consistently rate the heated shower block, laundry and dishwashing facilities as immaculate. Free standing BBQs are allowed with a fire extinguisher to hand; campfires are not. Pitches cost from £33 a night and holiday homes from £85, booked through the park's online booking system.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Wayfarers Park?
No, dogs and other pets are not allowed anywhere at Wayfarers Park. The ban covers touring pitches, tent pitches and the holiday homes, and it is a permanent policy rather than a seasonal one, so if you travel with a dog you will need to book a different site.
Is Wayfarers Park adults only?
Yes, the whole park is reserved for adults, with no children accepted on pitches, in the holiday homes or in the B&B rooms. Tent pitches take a maximum of two guests each, which keeps the site quiet and suits couples far better than groups.
How much does a pitch cost at Wayfarers Park?
Caravan and camping pitches cost from £33 a night for two guests, holiday homes from £85 and B&B rooms from £79. Electricity on hardstanding pitches runs through smart meters and is charged separately for what you use, so budget a little extra on top of the pitch fee.
Do the pitches have electric hook-up?
Yes, hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes include hook-up metered through smart meters, plus fresh water and grey waste disposal. Grass tent pitches in the lower field have 16 amp connections on selected pitches, so ask for one when booking if you need power under canvas.
Are campfires or BBQs allowed?
No, campfires are not allowed at Wayfarers Park, but BBQs are permitted as long as they are free standing rather than sat on the grass. The park requires a fire extinguisher to be kept nearby while you cook, so pack one alongside the charcoal or gas.
How far is the beach from Wayfarers Park?
The nearest beach is at Perranuthnoe, about 2 miles from the park, with Praa Sands around 2.5 miles away. Marazion beach and St Michael's Mount are roughly 3 miles, and Penzance with its Jubilee Pool sits about 6 miles west, so a car makes coast trips easy.
