West Fleet Holiday Farm is a family camping park on a working farm at Fleet near Weymouth in West Dorset, set in 15 acres overlooking Chesil Beach, the Fleet Lagoon and Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast. Public footpaths and a private farm walk lead down to the Fleet shore and the South West Coast Path in around 15 to 20 minutes, and Weymouth's sandy beaches and harbour are a short drive away. The park takes tents, trailer tents and motorhomes with awnings, with electric hook-ups available and a limited number of pitches that can fit a touring caravan (there are no hardstandings). A heated outdoor pool, a three acre play area and a peak-season clubhouse and bar make West Fleet a strong pick for families with younger children. A firm quiet-nights policy applies, bookings are advance only and groups are limited to two households, so it suits campers who want calm evenings rather than a party crowd. Dogs are welcome on a lead and must be exercised off the park. Swimming is not advised in the Fleet or off Chesil Beach because of strong currents, though the on-site heated pool is open in the main season. Pitch prices are quoted through the farm's online booking system.

Does West Fleet Holiday Farm have a swimming pool?
Yes, there is a heated outdoor swimming pool for guests, open during the main season. The park also has a clubhouse and bar that run in peak season, along with a three acre play area, which is why it is popular with families camping with younger children.
Can I bring a touring caravan?
Only in a limited way. West Fleet mainly welcomes tents, trailer tents and motorhomes with awnings, but there are a few pitches that can take a touring caravan, and there are no hardstandings. Contact the farm before booking if you are bringing a caravan or larger van.
Are dogs allowed at West Fleet?
Yes, dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a lead at all times, exercised off the park and all mess is bagged and binned. Footpaths lead from the camping park down to the Fleet shore, giving you plenty of nearby walking with your dog.
Are there sea views from the campsite?
Yes, the farm sits in open countryside with views over Chesil Beach, the Fleet Lagoon and Lyme Bay. The Fleet is the saltwater lagoon behind Chesil Bank and the setting for the smuggling tale Moonfleet, with the shore about 15 to 20 minutes away on foot.
Is West Fleet suitable for large groups?
No, it is aimed at families and couples wanting a quiet stay. A quiet-nights policy applies and groups are limited to a maximum of two households, with advance bookings only. Larger groups or friends meeting up must get authorisation first or risk losing the pitch.
Do the tent pitches have electric hook-up?
Yes, electric hook-ups are available for tents at West Fleet, and drinking water is on tap from standpipes around the site. Pitch fees cover two people with a tent and car or a motorhome, and you can park your car beside your tent.
