About this site

West Middlewick Farm is a traditional, family-run campsite on a working farm at Nomansland in mid Devon, roughly halfway between Tiverton and South Molton on the B3137. Campers have been pitching up here since 1933, and the Gibson family still run it as a proper working farm rather than a slick holiday park. The main camping field covers four acres at the end of a stone track, with big open views towards Exmoor, and it takes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes on grass and hardstanding pitches, most with electric hook-up. For anyone without their own kit there are two cosy log pods for glamping, plus self-catering log cabins and mobile homes to rent. What sets West Middlewick apart is the working-farm experience: children can help feed the animals, you can wander the farm tracks, and the on-site farm shop sells the farm's own free-range produce and award-winning raw milk, bottled fresh daily. There is a shower and toilet block with washing machines, and the site sits on the Two Moors Way between Exmoor and Dartmoor, handy for walkers. Dogs are welcome on leads and families are made very welcome, though children need supervising near the animals. It suits campers who want farm life and quiet countryside rather than pools and nightlife. The site is open all year and Tiverton is the nearest town for shops.
