About this site

Westland Farm is a family-run smallholding on the edge of Exmoor National Park that mixes back-to-basics camping with hot-tub glamping. It sits at Bratton Fleming, near Barnstaple in North Devon, with Blackmore Gate under a mile to the north west and the beaches at Combe Martin roughly ten minutes' drive away. Tent campers get open grass fields with room for children to run, a heated toilet and shower block, and small campfires allowed outside your tent; camping runs from late May to the end of September, with rates from £12 per night. Glamping options include a Mongolian yurt, a shepherd hut and the Drovers Hut, each with a private hot tub. Separately, five hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up take caravans and motorhomes, and those are for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only. Very little light pollution means proper starry nights, and you can book the whole camping field for a group. This part of North Devon suits stargazers and families over anyone after a large serviced holiday park. Book direct with Westland Farm by email or through the online link.

Good to know

Does Westland Farm allow campfires?
Yes, small campfires are allowed outside your tent in the open camping fields, which is part of the back-to-basics, under-the-stars experience the farm offers near Exmoor. It is worth confirming the current arrangements when you book direct with the site.
What accommodation does Westland Farm offer?
You can pitch a tent in open grass fields, book glamping in a Mongolian yurt, shepherd hut or the hot-tub Drovers Hut, or use one of five hardstanding touring pitches. Those five caravan and motorhome pitches are for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only.
When is Westland Farm open for camping?
Camping runs seasonally, from late May to the end of September. Outside those months the tent fields are closed, though the glamping accommodation operates to its own calendar, so contact Westland Farm directly to confirm the dates that work for your stay.
Is Westland Farm dog friendly?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Westland Farm, near Bratton Fleming. The camping fields have plenty of open space, and there are farm animals children can meet, so keep dogs under control around livestock and other guests. A dog charge applies for campers.
How much does camping cost at Westland Farm?
Camping rates start from £12 per night. The farm charges per person rather than per pitch, so larger tents cost no more, and there are separate rates for children and dogs. Book direct by email or through the online booking link.
