About this site

Wheal Rodney Holiday Park is a small, quiet campsite and holiday park at Marazion in west Cornwall, where unlimited use of the heated indoor pool is included in every nightly pitch price. The park sits on the edge of town, with the causeway to St Michael's Mount under 20 minutes away on foot, Marazion's pubs, shops and beach within walking distance, and the A30 a 4 minute drive. Pitches are flat grass with electric hook up: standard caravan and motorhome pitches measure 9m by 8m and take outfits under 7.5m, family tent pitches suit tents up to 7m, campervan pitches fit VW-sized vans, and a 2-berth small tent pitch goes without hook up. A bell tent named Kynance covers glamping, and self catering lodges (a mix of dog friendly and strictly dog free) are open all year. Wheal Rodney suits couples and families after a peaceful west Cornwall base rather than an entertainment park: there is no play area, quiet hours run from 10pm, and the narrow access lane needs care with bigger outfits. BBQs raised off the ground are welcome (bricks are provided), firepits are not, and dogs stay at a maximum of two per pitch, booked in advance. Caravan and motorhome pitches and lodges are open all year, tents pitch up from March to 31 October, and prices are quoted through the park's online booking system.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Wheal Rodney Holiday Park?
Yes, dogs are welcome on pitches and in around half of the lodges, with a maximum of two per pitch or lodge. Dog numbers across the site are limited, so book your dog in advance; only dogs are accepted, no other pets, and the remaining lodges stay strictly dog free.
Can I have a campfire or BBQ at Wheal Rodney?
No, firepits and open campfires are not allowed anywhere on the park. BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised off the ground, and reception provides bricks free of charge to lift any BBQ that arrives without legs, so you can still cook outdoors properly.
Is there a swimming pool at Wheal Rodney Holiday Park?
Yes, the park has a heated indoor pool and unlimited entry is included in the nightly price for campers and lodge guests alike. It opens from 9am daily, it is not lifeguarded, and children must be supervised in the water at a ratio of one adult to two children.
When is Wheal Rodney Holiday Park open?
Caravan and motorhome pitches and the self catering lodges are open all year round. Tent pitches run from March to 31 October, camping arrivals check in from 1pm and before 9pm, and the site enforces quiet hours from 10pm to 8am every night.
Do the pitches at Wheal Rodney have electric hook-up?
Yes, every pitch except the small 2-berth tent pitch comes with an electric hook up. Pitches are flat grass throughout: standard caravan and motorhome pitches measure 9m by 8m for outfits under 7.5m, and the family tent pitch with hook up takes tents up to 7m.
How far is Wheal Rodney from the beach and St Michael's Mount?
The causeway to St Michael's Mount is under 20 minutes' walk from the park, and Marazion's sandy beach, shops and pubs are all reachable on foot. The A30 is a 4 minute drive away, which makes day trips across west Cornwall straightforward from this spot.
