The CL sits within a 10 minute drive of the South Downs Way, and the market town of Arundel, with its castle and cathedral skyline, is just four miles off. The nearby village of Walberton has a pub, launderette, post office and convenience store. A small, level site with a wildflower meadow and a pond, complete with a bench put out by the owner, gives you somewhere to sit and cook an evening meal on a barbecue, so Winter Egg Farm suits couples and adult groups after a peaceful overnight or short stop close to Arundel rather than families, since it is an adults-only CL. Electric hook-up is available, though at a lower 6 amp rating than some CLs nearby, and there are no toilet or shower facilities on site. What stands out is the seasonal produce, home-grown runner beans and tomatoes sold on an honesty basis to raise money for charity, a small, genuine touch you will not find on a big touring park in West Sussex.
