About this site

Winters Farm Certificated Site is a small, member only Camping and Caravanning Club CS on a gently sloping 1.5 acre field at Rocombe above Lyme Regis, with exceptional views out over Lyme Bay. The Club classes it as a Hideaway and the setting earns the label: the site sits a mile off the A35 at Raymonds Hill along a country lane with good access, roughly a 40 to 50 minute walk from Lyme Regis and a 5 to 10 minute drive from the town and the Jurassic Coast. Axminster is three miles away for supermarkets, banks, a launderette and a Thursday market, Bridport is nine miles on with a Saturday market, and all three towns sit on the bus route, with a stop and the Hunters Lodge pub a level 5 to 10 minute walk from the gate. There are two hardstandings and several grass pitches, an electric hook up at every pitch, two mains water supplies and a chemical waste disposal point. Now the important caveat: there are no toilets and no showers at Winters Farm, so your own facilities are essential and tents must be self sufficient. Dogs are welcome, and the walking and cycling routes around here are excellent. The 2026 season runs 1 April to 31 October, from £22 a night at member prices.

Good to know

Does Winters Farm have toilets and showers?
No, there are no toilets and no showers at Winters Farm. The Camping and Caravanning Club describes it as a Hideaway where your own sanitation is essential, and tents must provide their own facilities. That rules the site out for anyone camping light, but keeps it peaceful for self contained outfits.
Does Winters Farm have sea views?
Yes, the site sits in a gently sloping field with exceptional views out over Lyme Bay, and the Club tags it as coastal with a sea view. Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast are a 5 to 10 minute drive away, or a 40 to 50 minute walk if you fancy the exercise.
Are dogs allowed at Winters Farm?
Yes, pets are welcome and the Club lists them among the site features. There are many good walks and cycle routes in the surrounding countryside, and the bus stop and the Hunters Lodge pub are a level 5 to 10 minute stroll from the gate if you want a proper evening out.
Is there electric hook up at Winters Farm?
Yes, there is an electric hook up at every pitch, across the two hardstandings and the several grass pitches. The site also has two mains water supplies and a chemical waste disposal area, though nothing else in the way of facilities, so bring everything else you need with you.
When is Winters Farm open?
The Camping and Caravanning Club lists the 2026 season as 1 April to 31 October. The Club also advises contacting the site directly with any questions about opening dates or facilities, so it is worth a call before you commit to a shoulder season trip to Lyme Regis.
How much does Winters Farm cost and do you need to be a member?
Pitches start from £22 a night at member prices. Winters Farm is a Certificated Site, which means it is member exclusive, so you need to join the Camping and Caravanning Club before you can book. Bookings and current pricing go through the Club rather than through the farm itself.
