Wolds Glamping

Wolds Glamping is a pods-only glamping site on Ashfield Farm at Canal Head, a mile from the market town of Pocklington and set in the rolling Yorkshire Wolds of East Yorkshire. The farm has welcomed visitors for more than 30 years and keeps things simple: six heated camping pods, with a shepherd's hut and bed and breakfast rooms also available on the same site. Each pod comes with a made-up bed, LED lighting, an electric socket, an oil-filled radiator and double glazing, plus a picnic table, towels and a firepit and barbecue outside the door. A shared kitchenette holds a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, and a heated shower block provides three showers, toilets and washbasins with constant hot water. This suits couples and small families after a low-cost, low-fuss break rather than campers with their own tent or caravan, as there are no touring pitches. One dog is welcome per pod. Guests regularly praise how warm and cosy the pods feel and how peaceful the setting is, though some note the pods and outdoor kit can feel basic. York is about 13 miles west, and Pocklington's shops and Burnby Hall Gardens are minutes away. Wolds Glamping is open year-round, and pods are booked directly through the operator's own website.
