YHA Beer

YHA Beer is a hostel and campsite set in the grounds of an Arts and Crafts house on the hillside above the fishing village of Beer, on the East Devon coast near Seaton. The site looks down over the village to the sea and sits right on the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage stretch of shoreline, with the South West Coast Path on the doorstep and Beer's pebble beach a ten minute walk downhill. Alongside the 38-bed hostel, campers can pitch their own tent in the grounds or book one of two ready-kitted bell tents with proper beds, bedding and a wood burner, so it works for tent campers and for anyone wanting glamping without the gear. There are no electric hook-ups and this is not a spot for large touring caravans or motorhomes, so it best suits tent campers, families and walkers. Toilets, showers and a self-catering kitchen are on site, and the hostel restaurant serves home-cooked meals. Fossil hunting, mackerel fishing trips and safe sea swimming are all close by at Beer. YHA Beer runs its campsite through the main season, and pitches, bell tents and hostel rooms are all booked through YHA.
