Why campers love it here
About this site
Yurtcamp Devon is a glamping site set in 40 acres of woodland at Liverton, near Newton Abbot on the eastern edge of Dartmoor in South Devon. Accommodation is in 22 yurts spread through the trees in small clusters, with some sited more remotely for extra privacy. The yurts come in two sizes, smaller ones for couples and larger ones sleeping up to six, and each has a log burner, proper beds and an outdoor fire pit for campfires and barbecues. There are no tents, caravans or motorhomes here: this is a glamping-only stay, and it does not take dogs, so it will not suit everyone. The wider site also runs as a woodland wedding and events venue, with a Wedding Barn and a large Norwegian tipi, and the on-site licensed Woodland Cafe handles food and drink. The setting works well for couples, families and groups who want a comfortable outdoor base within reach of Dartmoor's walks and the South Devon coast, and it is open all year, including for cosy off-season stays around the log burner. Note that sat navs often struggle with the postcode, so the site advises navigating to Yurtcamp on Staplehill Road, Liverton. Yurts are booked through Yurtcamp's own booking system.
