Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 4 Opening Dates: March To November CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! We regret that we are being forced to close the campsite until at least mid-June because of the advice and implications surrounding the outbreak of Coronavirus (Corvid-19). ------------------------------------------------ Ball Hill Farm's a lovely, unspoilt and ancient cider farm overlooking West Sedgmoor in Somerset. The farmhouse itself comprises the original 18th Century dwelling, converted barn and "back-house" - old oak beams, ancient blue lias walls, covered inside with lime plaster Camping is directly up the hill-side in the nineteenth century cider orchard. All its trees are listed, many clustered with mistletoe, the whole a haven for wildlife. We offer "rough" camping - including self-catering accommodation in a gypsy bowtop caravan. We restrict our pitches to four so you get privacy & peace and the feeling of being really out under the stars & away from the bustle of everyday life. Camping's great here - amazing views and the lightest footprint possible: cold water from the farm supply(no showers); compost toilet; open fire pit with small supply of wood; free parking by the farm; & a walk up the orchard to the pitches. It's a steep climb but worth it for the views you get here. Prices: Prices per tent pitch, per person including children, from £4 per night. Price for gypsy bowtop from £35 per night for the caravan which sleeps up to 2 adults + 2 small children. IMPORTANT - please visit our website for full details
