Bay View Holiday Park

Bay View Holiday Park is Holgates' coastal park on the edge of Bolton-le-Sands, sitting on the Morecambe Bay shoreline with a gate straight onto the bay's coastal footpath and views over the water to Grange-over-Sands. Carnforth is roughly two miles up the A6 and Lancaster about seven, with Morecambe, the Forest of Bowland and the Lake District all inside an hour's drive. Touring and motorhome pitches are hardstanding and fully serviced, with 16amp electric, an individual water tap and grey waste; the camping field, and this is the catch worth knowing before you book, has no electric at all, so tent campers who need hook up should look elsewhere in Lancashire. There are also glamping pods, holiday caravans to hire and a good number of privately owned holiday homes, which is the trade off: Bay View is a proper holiday park with a bar, not a quiet field. That bar and restaurant sit in a converted building from the two farms the park was built on, and there is a dog friendly section called The Bark Inn, a new fully enclosed dog exercise field, a shop, a games room and an adventure playground. Campers tend to single out the size of the serviced pitches and the state of the facility block. The park is open twelve months a year and Holgates quote pitch prices through their own booking system.
