Why campers love it here
About this site
Holgates Silverdale Caravan Park is the flagship of the Holgates family group, a touring, camping and glamping park set in over 100 acres of mature woodland above Morecambe Bay at Silverdale, best known for its indoor pool complex and its setting inside the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape. The Holgates family have run Silverdale since 1956 and it shows in the grounds, which hold a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award and an AA Platinum Pennant. The Cove, a small stone beach, is a five minute walk from the main entrance, Silverdale village is twenty minutes on foot, and Arnside sits just under two miles away. Fully serviced pitches take touring caravans, motorhomes and tents from two nights, with glamping pods and holiday homes to hire in a quieter corner of the park. Facilities run well past a shower block: two indoor pools with spa pool, sauna and steam room, a six lane bowling alley, an arcade, soft play, two playgrounds, a gym and a bar and restaurant serving food every day. Dogs get their own walking field, though they stay out of the leisure complex. This is a big, busy park in Lancashire rather than a quiet field, and it runs year round with a £100 deposit to book.
