Why campers love it here
About this site
Beech Tree Lakes is an adults-only caravan and motorhome park set around three well-stocked coarse fishing lakes at Hatfield Woodhouse near Doncaster in South Yorkshire. The pitches sit close to the water across roughly seventeen acres of flat former farmland, with hardstanding and grass pitches, electric and water hook-ups and a modern shower block. Fishing is the heart of the place, so it draws anglers and couples after a quiet, grown-up break rather than families with children. New owners took over at the end of 2024 and now run it as Beech Tree Park, so some parts are still being tidied and improved. Dogs are welcome, kept under control around the lakes and other pitches. Hatfield Woodhouse village is a short drive for a pub and daily basics, while the Thorne and Hatfield Moors nature reserve, a nationally important lowland peat bog, sits a few miles north for birdwatching and quiet walks. Doncaster is about seven miles west for shops and the station. The park does not have its own website at present, so book by phone or through its Facebook page, and expect fishing, calm water and adults-only peace rather than entertainment.
